Peavy returns

Jake Peavy finally had a great game tonight -- 6 innings, 1 run. It was the Giants 4th win in a row.

it's about damn time. He's in the second year of a 2-year deal that pays $24 million.

Here's the mlb.com recap-

PHOENIX -- Buster Posey's two-out, bases-loaded, two-run, ground-rule double off D-backs reliever Daniel Hudson in the top of the ninth gave the Giants a 5-3 victory Saturday at Chase Field as they took the first three games of a four-game series that ends here Sunday.
The Giants finally saw the Jake Peavy of old as the veteran right-hander three-hit the D-backs on one run for six innings in his best start of the 2016 season. But the bullpen couldn't hold a two-run lead.
Peavy battled Arizona left-hander Patrick Corbin, who gave up three runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. Hunter Pence had the big blow off him, a two-run homer in the fourth inning that broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Giants a two-run lead
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED Panik again: Joe Panik had his sixth RBI of the series when he singled home Denard Span in the top of the first inning off Corbin. Span opened the game with a triple. Panik had a two-run homer off Zack Greinke on Thursday night and a three-run shot off Shelby Miller on Friday night to account for all the Giants' runs in a 3-1 win.
