Chase Utley = Scott Cousins = psychopath

As if we didn't need another reason to despise the Dodgers.

Chase Utley did a pretty good Scott Cousins imitation last night, trying to end the career of Ruben Tejada. In both cases, you have a guy who's a marginal player who will doing something immoral in the name of "hard-nosed baseball."

There's a long post on SB Nation about all this by Grant Bisbee, who makes the point that this was far worse than Matt Holiday's slide into Marco Scutare in 2012.

It's worse. It's clearly, unambiguously worse. Holliday slid earlier, and he slid toward the bag. Utley slid later and he targeted the fielder.

The Piece of Baseball Garbage's appeal won't be heard until after game 4. So the Bastards in Blew get their whole roster's services while the Mets lose their starting shortstop.
