The Real Super Monday

San Francisco 4
NY Mets 3

LA Angels 5
LA Dodgers 0

Mondays are kind of lousy but this one turned out pretty well.

The always comprehensive McCovey Chronicles noted that Pablo Sandoval was the star today with fine defense and three of the 4 RBIs, including the 9th inning game winner. It also pointed out that ESPN named Pablo as the defensive player of the month

That's damn impressive. McCovey Chronicles has a nice sarcastic touch today --  The Giants have won 3 of 4 to start off a 10-game road trip. They are 32-21 for the season away from AT&T Park. Before this trip began, 7-5 in their previous 12 road games. In other words, they have been a lot better on the road than at home this season. I have no idea why that is, but I think the only logical conclusion is that they hate playing in San Francisco in front of a packed house and prefer the quiet confines of empty stadiums against not-great teams. Yes, that is the only logical conclusion. However, I propose that the Giants should win games both on the road *and at home* in order to contend for a playoff spot.
