The return of Boof
Boof Bonsor sounds like a made-up baseball name. He hasn't had much of a career so far.
The official team web site reports that Boof Bonsor is back with the Orange and Black after Tommy John surgery. We've probably forgotten about Boof because of this, as Chris Haft reminds us --
"I'd love to be up with the team that drafted me," said Bonser, who went to Minnesota with Joe Nathan and Francisco Liriano in the notorious A.J. Pierzynski trade in November 2003.
AJ had a terrible season in 2004 -- his worst in his 14-year career. Baseball Reference says he was worth 0.1 WAR. He's managed to put up enough good seasons for a career WAR over 18.
