It could have been a lot worse
Matt Cain, who's close to essential to the 2013 Giants, got clobbered on the knee today in the 1st inning and then gave up a 3-run homer to Dioner Navarro in a 4-3 loss to the Cubs.
Oh, well. That's what spring training is for. If you're going to have a lousy game like this, Feb. 24 is a good day to have it. Henry Sculman's story for the SF Chronicle makes it seem like there'es no injury so no big deal.
