Zito in 2014?
Lefty Malo delivered a fine post a few days ago when he theorized that should Barry Zito perform anywhere like he did in Game 5 of the NLCS and Game 1 of the World Series, it might make sense to pick up his option for the 2014 season.
In response, the comments section had several good responses, making the point that Zito tends to be pretty good or really bad. On a team managed by Bochy with a bullpen that's always solid, we fans are always hoping for a quick hook during one of those horrible starts.
