Thanks, Jamey!

Jamey Wright just paid back the Giants a little bit for the general awfulness he had with the Orange and Black. He gave up three runs in the top of the 9th at Chavez Latrine to assure that there would be no comeback from the Dodgers in the bottom of the 9th, not with the score 8-2. That left the idle Giants with a game and a half lead.

He was pretty awful in 2006 when he racked up a 0.0 WAR with the Giants and went 6-10.

Jason Schmidt was still a pretty good pitcher back then with a 3.7 WAR, followed by Matt Cain with a 2.2 WAR. It's hard to believe the pitching was as awful as it was, what with Armando Blownitez as the closer and Matt Morris in the rotation.

As best as I can figure, the only guys still active from that roster are Cain, Wright, Jonathan Sanchez, Jeremy Accardo, Travis Ishikawa and Omar Vizquel.
