Culberson, Panik in the Orange and Black?
Jonathan Mayo of mlb.com has tabulated the top second-baseman prospects and the Giants have one at No. 7 in Charlie Culberson and one at No. 10 in Joe Panik.
Given the propensity for Freddie Sanchez winding up on the DL, it would not be a surprise if one of them winds up in San Francisco this year.
Culberson will be 23 in April. He hit 10 HRs in AA ball last year and has been playing in the organization since 2007.
Panik is 21 and put up a slash line of .341/.401/.467 in the rookie league in 69 games last year.
