De Rosa in the Orange and Black?
Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury-News reports that the Giants may have made offers for Mark De Rosa, Scott Posednick and Nick Johnson. Sabean has only told him that no one's accepted anything yet.
DeRosa has decent power (23 HRs last year) and can play most positions but he'll be 35 in February.
Posednick has very little power (7 HRs last year) but steals a lot of bases (30 last year, though he got thrown out 13 times). He will be 34 next season.
Johnson is 30 and has an impressive lifetime OBP of .402 -- including a Bonds-like .477 in 150 ABs with the Marlins, where he last played. He appears to have lost some power --he only had 8 HRs this season.
