Hensley Meulens in the Orange and Black

The Giants have replaced Carney Lansford with Fresno hitting coach Hensley Meulens. Chris Haft of MLB.com notes both John Bowker and Jesus Guzman finished in the top 10 of batting average this year under Hensley's tutelage. But wait, there's more. The final sentence in the story has this nugget -- He speaks five languages: English, Spanish, Dutch, Papiamento and Japanese.

Let's hope he speaks the language of not hacking at balls out of the strike zone.
