The cost of Tim Lincecum

Henry Schulman of the SF Chron has posted that the Giants -- by bringing up Lincecum when they did on May 6, 2007 -- have to pay him a LOT more due to his now being arbitration eligible. Had the club waited a week to bring him up, he would have had to wait another year to go to arbitration.

I think Tim's entitled to every dime, by the way.
