The Master of the Obvious on San Jose

Bruce Jenkins of the SF Chronicle chimes in -- five days after the Merc-News reported the same fact -- that the Giants' decision to buy 25% of the San Jose franchise is a power play designed to prevent the Oakland franchise from moving. He asserts that the boatload of top prospects in San Jose (Bumgarner, Alderson, Posey, Gillapsie) will be a help in reinforcing the Giants' status compared to the A's. It sure looks like Bruce is comfortable in his role as chief apologist for Brian Sabean.
