Nine up, nine down
The Giants won their second game in the Cactus League today with a guy named Tim Lincecum on the mound for the first three innings. The Franchise needed the bare minimum -- 27 pitches to get all nine guys out that he faced. He also started the other game that the Giants have won so far this spring.

Actually the theoretical bare minimum number of pitches to record nine outs is 0. It would take nine instnaces of catchers interference on the batter before the pitch is thrown (yes, it could be called) with the batter awarded first followed by a pickoff.
