Giants still want CC but lower ticket prices
It's an interesting juxtaposition of stories in today's SF Chron -- John Shea reports that the Giants are seriously considering a run at CC Sabathia and Henry Schulman reports that they've lowered 2009 ticket prices. So here's a guy that the Giants think they may be able to get, even though he's been offered $140 million by the Yanks, while the Giants are planning to operate with lower revenues.
Well, good luck with all that.

Not necessarily. If dropping a buck off the ticket price fills the stadium and leads to more $8 beers, they will have plenty of revenue.
I appreciate your blog as you always post something. The blogosphere is full of guys who 'blog for a few months or a year then just abandon it. But you have been going strong for quite a while - and often post multiple times a day. I, for one, appreciate your work and dedication.
Many thanks, Allfrank. I think the move to drop prices makes a ton of sense when there's nothing but bad news about the economy.
