The Giants beat the very annoying Cubs today, 8-6; Matt Cain pitched 3 shoutout innings and Velez stole three bases. Anyone who saw him play last year knows that Eugenio can really fly. In 11 ABs in 14 games last year, he got two triples, scored five times and went 4-for-4 in stolen bases.
More good news -- the Dodgers gagged in the 9th for the second day in a row. Always a good development and hopefully, a portent of things to come once the games start to count.
