Why the Associated Press is a garbage outfit

Here we are in 2008 and the AP's sportswriters still write like it's 1958. They can't be bothered to explain why no one except the Phils were willing to sign Pedro Feliz. The story fails to mention that he makes more outs than any other third baseman and almost never walks; and that the Giants have had three straight losing seasons, largely because their non-Bonds offense stunk. As a third-baseman who started nearly every game, Feliz is a huge reason why the Giants had second lowest run total in MLB last year. Instead, the story simply asserts that this is a great deal for the Phils.

If any Philly fans are reading this, let me give it to you as straight as I can -- YOU'LL BE SORRY.
