My 2008 hope -- lots of Dodger beatdowns

Nothing beats beating the Dodgers. NOTHING. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened much lately. But I got to thinking -- with this team looking so lousy, Giants fans will be forced to find compensation in other ways, such as watching the Dodgers go down in flames. We can only hope that the Orange and Black gets hot at the right times. That's not much to ask, is it?

Only five years ago, the 2003 Giants won 100 games and pretty much had the Dodgers' number. They won the season series, 13-6 -- the best mark in the last 20 years. I saw a wonderful game in late June in which Ray Durham made a horrible throw that would have started a game-ending DP in the 9th. Instead, the Dodgers scored two runs but gagged in the 11th when The Fat Frenchie walked Bonds, who stole second and came home on Santiago's single.
