The stupidest fans in baseball

No question -- it's the dingbats at Chavez Latrine. How can Big D at Giants Win make such a sweeping statement?

Simple. I just got back from the Latrine, still astounded over the booing that Paul Lo Duca and Shawn Green get at every plate appearance -- as if they had somehow spurned some incredibly generous Dodger free-agent offer, when the truth is actually that they were both traded away after years of solid performance. It's not that they're with the Mets, either, as such stalwarts as David Wright, Carlos Beltran, Jose Reyes and Carlos Delgado don't get any acknowledgement at all.

It's just plain stupidity -- the same kind that bats around beach balls so incessantly that the game usually has to be stopped 3 or 4 times a night because the damn balls have been knocked into the field of play.

The Mets looked awful, losing 9-1. I'm still pretty sure they'll make the playoffs, even though they are now dealing with the SIKOD (Sports Illustrated Kiss of Death). I just got my copy of the new SI with Omar Minaya, Endy Chavez, John Maine, Oliver Perez, El Duque and Willie Randolph on the cover -- just as the Mets have gone 1-9.

This explains a lot.

I too was shaking my head at the game last night. They prolly would have booed Valetin and Ledee if doyer fan could remember past last week. Mets are just so flat right now. Wagner got hammered in garbage time but all the AAA call ups. That won't happen again.
