If you want to hear electronic noise entertainment at a sports event, try a Warriors game. If you like basketball, it's unbearable.

Not only do they have a bunch of dufuses in overalls running around with pizzas, a sound system cranked up to insure private school educations for the children of ear doctors, and activity at every mini-stoppage of play, but the break the all-time cardinal rule: they play music when the ball is in play.

I've complained about it for years. The Warriors are unapologetic: "People like it," is their answer. Well, not the people who are paying $120 per seat.

I've had season tickets for 32 years. I'll never attend another game.

PEFA Commish -- an outstanding comment, as usual. You may have been referring to the Arnold Hano post but I could not be more sympathetic with your distress about the noise factor.
