MEMO TO ARMANDO BENITEZ -- JUST SHUT UP. WE'RE NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR BRAINLESS RAMBLINGS AND YOUR IDIOTIC EXCUSES ("IT'S ALL OMAR'S FAULT!!!!"). I decided to take a look at some stats to make sure my impression of Benitez's sucking isn't something I just imagined. After all, if he's as bad as I think he is, there's no way any manager would ever put him in a close game. Here are some numbers I think Felipe should look at.

Note that he had 1 (only one!) outing in which he didn't allow a baserunner. Maybe I'm old-fashioned or something, but when I think of a closer, I think of someone who consistently comes in and gets a 1-2-3 inning and sends the fans home happy.
