Sorta kinda memorable

The Giants squeezed out a 5-4 vic tonight on a wild pitch, an Alou HR and the Pirates ineptitude, which included leaving 15 men on base. It's not quite the same kind of classic game as Schmidt's 16-strikeout masterpiece. Lefty Malo used Tuesday's game as a jumping off point for a fine post today about some of the more memorable games he's attended, including the Brian Johnson HR game in 1997, Game 4 of the 2002 NLCS & the JT Snow pinch-hit HR off Benitez in the 2000 NLDS.

For me, the two that come immediately to mind are from four years ago -- Game 5 of the 2002 NLCS with Lofton driving home Bell and Game 5 of the World Series, with hundreds of rubber chickens thrown onto the field from the bleachers at the end. "Oh my God, it's raining chickens," my sister said while we were rejoicing in the CF bleachers.
