"At least the Dodgers lost" redux

Let's focus on what went right today -- Jeff "Whiner" Kent up to PH in the 9th with 2 out, representing the tying run, but gags into the final out of the game to give Oakland a 5-2 vic. Way to go, Whiner!

I have decided not to recap the seriously depressing game today at Safeco other than noting that any game with Jose Vizcaino in the lineup is automatically started with a disadvantage. It's gotten to the point where I almost don't want him to get a hit, since that will mean even more ABs than the 82 he's already gotten. (He's driven in 4 rbi, and has 2 doubles and 1 HR for a .305 slugging average). It's not just me -- Daniel at Orange and Black Baseball has been updating the "Let's Waive Goodbye to Jose Vizcaino Count-Up" for over 2 weeks.

Instead, I want to focus on noting that the Giants are now under .500 as they head into a 9-game homestand at Mays Field with the other three AL West teams. So it's time to make 'em pay for that stupid DH rule!
